i got a couple of 45/70 on black powder 1 is a springfield trapdoor and the other a sharps long range express
both good for around 1600 metres got a couple of others as well

Yep that'd go boom all right..... I had a shot of a 50kal black powder once that was fun. But not as much fun as he's 50 kal side loader...

I'd put half a box through the 30/0 that day & put a few through a 44/40 then had a couple of shots each of them 2 50kal & needless to say & remembered every shoy for about a week or so later......

Didn't even want to shoot bunnys with the 12 gauge for couple of weeks after that w/end.

i fired a mates .900 express once strike me sideways he caught me with one hand and the rifle with the other never again hay that stuffed the 2 week shooting trip for me

Yeah I know but I do like the Big kals though.... the bigger the bang the better I like them..... You just can't shoot all day with them which sucks unless your rich & you don't mind not using your arm for a week....pml

The 30/06 is even to big & expensive to run like that, thats why its my deer gun. My every day shooter is a remi 270, not to expensive to run good to about 800mtr & will generally stop anything it hits.

nice toys 270 is a good kicker as the 30/06 both good long range
i use a 32 inch long barrelled 308 2 dead mules in the butt and a screw on muzzel brake and use Barnes X bullets 180 grain havent found anything this rig wont put down ....yet....hahaha

Yep love the 308's, my brothers gun of choice too. 180 grains a decent load, I've not herd of that brand before though I might have to check them out...
