I never bother with the paint protection offered by the dealer since I've found they're usually just overpriced packages that don't last as long as they claim. For my last new truck, I skipped the dealership’s ceramic offer and did my own detailing when I got it home. Proper care and occasional wax seem to keep things looking good without the big up-front spend. As for window tint, where I live (gets super hot in summer), I definitely had the front windows tinted to match the back. Sometimes the factory privacy glass isn’t true UV or heat protection, just darker glass, so a good ceramic tint helped a lot with glare and keeping my truck cooler. If you ever want to go beyond tint and try more high-tech privacy or heat control, there are companies out there now focusing on smart glass solutions that offer switchable privacy and energy savings like https://smartglasstech.us/, which actually sounds pretty cool for new builds or major upgrades.
