A couple days in Margret river then onto Fremantle and Perth. For a 3 day stay.

Great to catch up with @Stropp Bob and Di, an old school mate and our niece.

Leaving Perth and making our way home we have done just over 4600ks.

Onto Kalgoorlie with a stop at York the oldest inland town in Australia.

And the car museum in York..

Got into Kalgoorlie pretty late so only had the next day to look around. So much to see.

Big day driving from Kalgoorlie to mundrabilla roadhouse 830 KMS which was home for the night.

Next day was a few stops along the great Australian bight and a stop at overnight at coffin bay.

I agree on the exhaust, but he likes it.

The jeep developed a starter motor issue leaving coffin bay. They have family in Adelaide so wanted to get there with only fuel stops. We followed until they had enough fuel and continued on to the barossa valley. An unplanned stop, but a nice one. My sister in law and her husband are here and asked to spend the day with them more wine and chocolate, yeah sure why not..

Seppeltsfield wine.
The son of the original owner put aside one barrel of para tawny and said "is isn't to be opened for 100 years"
They have continued that for every year since 1878. Was so tempted to have a taste, but if I really liked it I would have hated the fact that I wasn't getting the bottle.

Was going to head back home tomorrow, but thought fuck it, let's go back on Sunday.
So now to decide head to mildura or hahndorf

So we decided on hahndorf, it was a good choice, very busy down the main street. Just to break up the drive and because we haven't been there before we stopped in Mount Gambier for the night before arriving home late this afternoon.
Mount Gambier was pretty cool, didn't see much but blue lake and the sink hole are impressive

21 days on the road with a total of 8769kms.
Some days where big 800+while others like the 3 days in Fremantle would've been lucky if we did 30ks. Average km per day 417.

Fuel well let's not go there, I closed my eyes and filled up, nah seriously just over $3200. About the same as last year's trip but more KMs this time.


Plans are on the way for next year.
Camping trip around Tassie or perhaps east coast drive to Brisbane,.
