Too late as your probably on the road but i do recall something about a particular solder joint on the Dash panel pcb can come lose. This can be corrected by resoldering the joint. If its an earth issue id just find the earth wire from the dash and run a new separate wire and earth it off the body, much quicker that tracing the wire to find where the bad connection is.

Drove from Robe to port Augusta with a stop in gawler and the dash stopped once for a shorter time and that was early in the day. I did take out the cruise control switch that's on the dash, the one that feels not right to replace it, but can't find one in time. Will see if I can pick up a switch from a wrecker along the way.

If it continues to lose the dash I will take on the information and do something about it when I'm back home..

    Well that didn't last long.
570ks today and lost the dash once for about 10ks very late in the day. Convinced that it's got nothing to do with the cruise.

Have only used it a few times, but for the price it's good..

We keep the sleeping bag and pillows in there.

John, how does the unit stand up to very windy conditions? Have you tried the unit in the snow? Are there stated limits to the environment the unit is warrantied?
