    Red dashboard light meaning

    Hi,
I'm Chris here in the UK. My wife has just arrived in Kenya and picked up a Nissan Patrol she bought. It's fairly old (I've asked her to check the year asap). But a red light appears on the dash when ignition is turned on and doesn't go out when engine is running. The light appears between the speedo and the rev counter dials, a bit closer to and about 1 oclock of the speedo dial. I've attached a pic. Could anyone help and advise us what it is? I'm concerned it may be serious, and if she continues driving it might mess up (to say the least) the engine. I've also advised she gets it to a mechanic asap (not as easy as it sounds) but in the meantime I'm trying my best to help from here.
    Thanks in advance,
    Chris

All sorted now - thanks. Apparently it was a door closure issue - I won't say anything. ;-)
