    I use the OEX universal glow plug timer. I see they're around the $150 mark now. Converting from TB45 to TD42 meant no existing glow plug circuit so this was best option at the time.
    It's been working well over the last 10 years set at 6 seconds full glow (QLD remember) then after glow is 6 x 1 second on 1 second off. Easily adjustable on the box itself.
    When engine is warm and restarted without waiting, it detects the starter wire signal and switches straight to after glow sequence.
