Bought this old girl with the intention of giving it to the old man to travel in his retirement, didn't suit him too well. PO was an old fella who'd only put ~20,000km on it in the last ten years, well cared for. Tried to sell for a while but between the pain of dealing with tire kickers and needing a wagon to fit my dog I've decided to sell my reliable fuel efficent daily and keep her instead. I've got two 80 series as well, so the GQ will be staying mostly unmodified, I don't need another lifted 4x4.
TD42, auto, ~250,000km. Had a safari turbo installed at it's first service in '93, no signs of ever having been offroad, interior is near mint. No rust, even the undercarriage and chassis are pristine.
I've rebuilt knuckles, painted diffs, replaced body mounts, replaced rear main & all other baseline services. Clear is peeling on front end but that'll get sorted soon enough.
Will be used for camping weekends mostly, so I'll mostly focus on building something comfortable & functional.
