As a newbie to the 4wd fraternity I am wondering what it is that you all have attached to your batteries!!!!!
So many connections.
Please tell me what you are running in your rigs.
Not much in my rig.
Led bar, compressor, winch and the redarc bcdc are hanging off my main battery.
Second battery has the fridge, rear light , UHF unit and the main stereo.
Just waiting for @PeeBee s response to this![]()

Mc4by, my photo is a bit of a piss take!
Re accessories I am a little over the top I guess.
I run aux ignition fuse boxes and also 3 aux accessory fuse boxes to try and keep the wiring neat and reduce the firewall penetrations to a minimum, as this is where you can run into trouble with chaffing and shorting wires, unless you use the correct glands to feed the wires thru.
Regards devices, Communications( 27mhz, HF, uhf, vhf amateur, vhf marine, Satellite phone, GSM phone), 240VInverter for power tools, coffee machine, power off for fridge, aux. lights for camping and driving, winch supply, various instruments like volt meters, EGT, water and oil temp. Its pretty busy under the bonnet and dash!
It important to remember to fuse all cables and ensure the fuses are the correct rating - they are there to protect the device, wiring and eliminate fires.
This is my van..
Car is a similar setup (less solar controller and is hidden under draws..)![]()

An old klaxon horn - don't see (or hear) them much these days although modern copies are readily available. They were popular way back when . . . I used to have one on my FL Holden.
