    how different are the diesels to the petrols in the gq

    If you do it yourself I will suggest you also measure the springs and write down what clutch pack it came out of just in case you get things missed up, my springs didn't match the manuals specs and a lot of guess work was involved!!!

    I recently bought a gq with a vh41de that had a blown box. I had another box to go on fit that and nothing!,
    Had no drive at all when I pulled it off again I noticed the input shaft was longer they had welded spacers to the flex plate, and extended the located lug on the torque converter had been extended. It appears they retained the re401A input shaft and torque converter, I replaced the input shaft and refit buut soon as I warmed the car up she pissed tranny fluid out the bellhousing! I think I mighta pinched the pump seal so out it comes again.. my question is other than that was there anything else you had to modify for it to work? I’ve hit a wall here any help would be greatly appreciated

    hey mate I’m in Perth too
    I recently bought a gq with a vh41de lic with a blown box, per the paperwork it said oem transmission was retained nothing mentioned about any mods what did you have to do to get yours to work?
