Gearbox painting Advice

Hi Guys,

Any advice on painting gearbox and transfer. I am planning on painting chassis + diffs with POR15 3step.

I am thinking just take back rough surface and paint with POR rust preventative coating which will be left from 3step, or using POR's high temp paint?

Anyone who has experience painting box + transfer what worked?
