    Vacuum hoses configuration on TB42s

    Hi All

I have a 91 Ford Maverick TB42 carby stock model.
Here is a photo of the carburetor and air filter housing.
I have given a number to each hose and a short description below the images.

Can someone please help check if the vacuum hoses are correct in my setup?

Hose 1 goes to a valve on the distributor. What is the purpose/significance of this?
Hose 2 and 4 go to charcoal canister. What is the purpose/significance of this?
Hose 3 goes to fast idle control device located on firewall (FICD).
Hose 5 goes to air filter housing - which one does it connect to - x or y?
Hose 6 goes to air filter housing - which one does it connect to - x or y?

Thank you for your help and time.

The unit on the carby is called the Vacuum Advance Diaphragm. It changes the timing of the ignition for optimal performance after the correct temperature is reached.

The charcoal canister collects petrol vapour from the fuel tank and lets it be burnt by the engine. (Emission control).
