I haven't been on here for a long time, but had a failure coming out of the Wonnangatta Valley a few weeks ago. Started the repair process and is going well.
The plate is now welded and painter, getting another tower bracket today to weld in and fit the aftermarket Boss brackets a s well.

They are a constant tension style clamp, hellishly expensive but once you tighten them to setpoint the clamp remains tight.

Hold steady on purchasing Team NP
Its first two Dyno runs today kept blowing the hose off at the W2A Intercooler outlet side
Have raced across to Lilydale with two (2) of my original setup Norma T bolt style clamps that handled its first Dyno 2,000km ago.

Do use ones personnel preference by all means, used T-Bold clamps with first install of JT top mount cooler 25psi and kept blowing off.

Changed out to Breeze (USA) HD liner clamps_stainless steel all good. Used these since 2018 on PDI FM and only ever popped one off, when hauling up nth near the doggie Tugger Box. Always carry flex drive and correct hx socket.

Thats a surprise I would have thought they would hold, obviously not. Can they be over tensioned and become in-effective also - might be a question for the supplier?

This suggests the pressure drop across the w2a is either significant or the clamps are faulty if tensioned correctly. If the new ones hold I mean. A pressure gauge between turbo and w2a would give you some valuable info.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
