2 filter intervals
Not from a $ perspective, albeit holy s*it @ the creiminal genuine filter price. More from a fu*ing hell @ filter locations.
Nissan man says every 10 for the td oil burner (no burning oil here) but mighty interwebz suggest every 5 to tickle its fancy for the oils.
But how about the filters is it a wise safe move to swap oil every 5 but filters on every second round (every 10)?

Not sure of it being wise but I did that when I had a oil burner and still do it with the '92 efi version never a problem here.

10k filter swap over is what I’ve been doing on my td42t for the 16 years I’ve owned it. No dramas.
What is the charge? Eating a meal? A succulent Chinese meal??

Bought ours to 'see us out'.
Telstra had oil & filter changes at 5000km services from new, I've continued that, but a couple of times have taken that up to 7,000kms when we have ben somewhere where an oil change wasn't possible. Bought the car at 153,000km, now a bit over 250,000km & dipstick shows same level at oil change intervals as at time of filling. Always used Penrite HPR 15 semi snynthetic.
Possibly overkill but I happy to do it. Got home after 5 years away recently & found 18 new filters I'd forgotten I had in a cupboard so won't have to buy any for a while! They've certainly gone up in price since i bought them - mix of Genuine Nissan, Ryco, Fleetguard & Donaldson.

The master farter
I used to do every 5K, but now its once a year. Which it rarely gets to 5K a year these days, and swap out the filters also. No point in an oil change and using dirty filters.

Mine are on ~6-monthy. No idea on KMs. they get done when they need it.
Oil and filters. Used to get filters for like $6, but even now it's up around 12-14 (so $30 for a pair)...cheaper than engine rebuild.
