I did stuff up the first drill bit, in a big way, but again, read the instructions and all will be revealed. My mistake was not using the drill bit set-up gauge correctly, and I had the flutes 90 deg out of whack with the sharpening profile. Destroyed the bit complete, Anyway, back to the booklet, and correction made, drill bit returned to its former shape, but sharper.

Instructions?! I am a mere male. We don’t read instructions. We throw them out. My sharpener is faulty I say!
