Prepare for a wetter than average Spring and Summer mate accompanied by locust plague.
Last 18 months was a positive Indian Ocean Dipole (IOD) which means the western Indian Ocean tropical waters were warmer than the eastern Indian Ocean tropical temperatures. Eastern Africa got chewed out by locusts last year. The IOD has now swung to negative meaning eastern Indian Ocean tropical waters are warmer than western waters.
Locusts coming soon!
