    Yeah I hear what you're saying Darren, but when we are this far from anywhere we don't want to find ourselves well out in woop woop & out of range if the diff oil starts spraying the inside of the tyres. Mechanic also said we could do as you suggest, but then also suggested the risk of washing the grease out of the wheelbearings was probably around 50/50. We love our adventuring, but take a cautious approach to risk. If it were a 4wd jaunt in the woods near home I'd feel very differently about the risk. But thanks for your help.
