Can someone please tell me what this is?!
Hey all,
I've been starring at these slots for years with no clue what they are. Could someone please enlighten me? I want to mount a bluetooth speaker in here!

My UHF hand piece is mounted there.
I took off the large square blank and mounted it to that.

Thanks for the replies guys. I don't seem to have a temp sensor there Bazilian, maybe on TI models? Turns out it's a great spot for a microphone from my new stereo!

As I mentioned earlier.
On my ST, there was nothing behind that tiny slotted section. I turned it into this ...

Every time you drive, you put a dollar coin into each slot. When later on your head gasket, fuel pump, clutch, cracked piston, glow plugs, alternator, cracked head, cooling system, death wobbles, or anything else needs attention, you have a reserve of cash. 😂😂😂
