Worst part for us is and the missus is not a permitted worker but is able to complete her work duties from home we are ineligible to put our daughter into childcare. How the hell are you supposed to work full-time and care for a sub 2year old. The rules state to make "other arrangements" what on earth does that mean? The grandparents? We have no relatives that live in this state so can't do that either. Bloody ridiculous.

At the 11th hour a hail Mary had come through! A childcare permit system for people in the same situation as us has been sent out. It's a god send as it would have made out lives very difficult for the next six weeks.

I have been in an ongoing debate with the daycare centre for the last few days, even to the point yesterday I asked for clarification where they had seen literature stating what they were enacting and was told they had read it in an ABC Journal on the conference from the previous day... Not from a government authority. Absolutely absurd!

Yes unfortunately I've heard of a few centres and schools taking it upon themselves to tell parents their children are not welcome.

Our Operations Teams where stood down today. Our Admin have been sent home and I am not classified as a Permitted Worker so have to try and do site inspections via facetime if possible. Not ideal but we will make do.

Luckily we're are continuing to work with most clients, pretty crazy time, permits, plans yada yada but just gotta do our best and very lucky to be still working. Lets hope things turn around for poor old Vic . .
