gq TB42 petrol gearbox issue.
Hi guy's I have a 92 gq tb42 petrol swb and I have noticed that when i shift in to 2nd gear it seams like it dosent want to go into gear properly and i found that if i double clutch it seams to help. All the other gears seem ok.
Not sure if its a common problem or if id need to checked?

Welcome to the forum. If the gearbox oil is the wrong grade it will make the synchromesh stick, especially when it is cold. Early Nissan gearboxes need a GL4, not GL5 rated oil. I have had a GL 4 plus rated oil that was too sticky as well.

Oh wow ok. Thanks for the heads up.
I am not sure what type is in it atm so should I maybe change the gearbox oil and put in GL4 but not GL4plus?

I would stick with GL4. I used Castrol but there should be other brands available.
