I've done a search and I know the benefits of a boost compensated pump over the standard 10mm.
But I'm asking a WWYD question. Apologies if this isn't the right section or this has been asked before (please link and close this thread).
I have a NA TD42, and I am turboing it, p4x4 16g. I have the stock 10mm on now. However, I have a blown td (my friends, everything was running fine before. Bit sooty though) with a boost compensated pump (suspected 11mm) but in unknown condition.
Unfortunately I do not have to money to turbo and get the pump reconditioned.
My question is, what would you do?
Buy the turbo kit and slap it on with the 10mm and sell the BC pump?
Or
Buy the turbo kit, swap out the pumps and risk it.
Are there any other options? Or can I get the pump looked at?
