So the unit needs to be physically visible like a satellite pick up instead of an rf pickup? That seems contrary to how these devices are marketed doesn't it? I have been considering getting one of these but thought for greatest value it should not be visible or free to find by the thief?

im sure you could use with an external antenna? and hide the actual unit somewhere?
