cleaning out turbo and intercooler on GU6 3.0l crd

Looking at having a crack at doing this on a 2014 y61 this weekend, just wondering what experiences have been had whilst attempting to do this by others?

Unless you have holes in the IC and your getting it repaired theres no point in removing the IC and cleaning it out. It will just be oily again after a few thousand k’s.
Best to remove the entire intake system, and give the manifold a good carbon clean. But this job ain’t for the faint hearted. Big job.
