Well Raslarr got back to me and I ordered my rear bar .
Its black with two pivots , one wheel carrier with that
auto door opening not in any hurry my mate will pick
it up from My Evelyn for me. that will tidy up the back
alot imo

Thanks Im looking forward to getting it fitted, just paid for it
Their lead time was for july, my mate at Outback 4wd will pick it up
for me. colour wise nothing fancy just black. now to wait,
will be throwing a bit of money at the patrol in the furture.
lots of small jobs to do. next will be new 285 BFG all terrains

Giving the roof rack fixings a fresh coat of paint, new washers and stainless nylock nuts.IMG_20190227_140639.jpeg
Cleaned up with the grinder and coating with an anti rust treatment, then lightly sanded before painting.

Added a 24mm rubber strip with adhesive tape from Clark rubber along the base to sit against the roof rails.

@Cremulator if it was me Id be putting say some bike tube rubber so you have no metal to metal contact.

as for Raslarr they will be starting my bar on the 15th of July, suits me as Im in no hurry

Yeh, bike tube rubber would work too if you glued that on.
I just used some of this EPDM414 supersoft self adhesive tape 24mm X 6mm, which looked like the same stuff that was on there originally.
Worked a treat.

Thinking of buying a stainless steel hi flow air filter housing from PatrolaPart
@Winnie would I notice any difference. Im thinking being stainless it might trap heat
and introduce warm air into the intake. anyone??
Oh and how hard are they to fit, I hear you need to move the Aux battery
