This is straight off Marks adaptors website. So I don't take responsibility in accuracy.

Jeez, Mudski... On standard tyres it must rev its head off with a short diff like that.
FWIW the Nissan specs on their brochures et al are as per the Marks numbers
Top in the Manual box is 0.8 something intoa 4.1 diff and top in the Auto box is 0.6 something into a 4.3 diff.
Would be goodo for 33's tho.
BUT... as we all know... Nissan will put just about any diff in any truck without rhyme or reason.
Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.
I believe all series 2 3.0ltr manual patrols had 4.3 gears in the diff.
Series 3 wagons may also be the same (correct me if I’m wrong).
Series 4+ manuals wagons had 4.1 gears
Just put a new diff in the GU Ute. (4.2n/a)It came from a wagon, (td42)both 4.11. I think Nissan just put in whatever they had on the day.

It was when I did the TD transplant. 1st gear was virtually non existant. I'd take off in 1st and and hunting for 2nd as soon as I took off. Was fine with the ZD though. Now with 4.11's its much better. Still rev's a little high at 100ks in 5th for my liking though. 2450rpm...
