yes have it running and get someone to give it a rev to see if its exhausting properly, also when exhaust is totally cool tap the system with your hand to see if there are any unusual rattles, reason I mention this, a mate had complete loss of power on his nissan and rattling real bad,a diesel mechanic told him the timing chain was buggered and had slipped, I tell ya I laughed my guts out, anyway i'm a petrol mechanic and quickly found the issue, he was so wrapped, as the mechanic had quoted $8000 to fix the engine,my mate had it fixed at the exhaust joint for a mere $500 the next day, and just out of spite we pulled into the garage and the mechanic came out with a dumb look on his face, and I yelled at him $500 is a small price compared to your $8000 quote I said your not a mechanics arse LOL
Having similar issue again actually had the injector pump blow up spent $5,000 was fine for about 5months and now it’s starting again here’s what l have found on code 77 it is P0077 Intake Valve Control Solenoid Circuit High B1
On vehicles equipped with variable valve timing (VVT), the Engine Control Module / Powertrain Control Module (ECM/PCM) controls the camshaft position by regulating the engine oil through the control solenoid to change the position of the camshaft. The control solenoid is commanded using a Pulse Width Modulated signal (PWM) from the ECM/PCM. The ECM/PCM monitors this signal and if the voltage is above specification, it will set this trouble code and illuminate the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL).
Bank 1 refers to the side of the engine with cylinder #1 - be sure to verify according to manufacturers specifications. The intake valve control solenoid is usually located on the intake manifold side of the cylinder head. This code is similar to codes P0075 and P0076. This code may also be accompanied by P0026.
Symptoms
Symptoms may include:
•Check engine light illuminated (Malfunction indicator lamp)
•Vehicle may suffer from poor acceleration and decreased fuel economy.
Potential causes of a P0077 diagnostic trouble code may include:
•Wire harness poor connections or disconnected
•Control solenoid open circuit
•Short to power
•Faulty ECM
I got red dust in my veins.
