    Safari vs landcruiser VX

    Hi guys,
    Please forgive me for I have had unclean thoughts...

    Here's the guts.
    We had a '88 Non turbo long high safari. We camped in her and drove her up and down the country. But the main reason we had her is that we regularly tow a boat (~2 tonne).
    We were all happy... until
    last Wed eve "some b$%%$^ nicked of wiv it"
    That's right
    "Stole my car, stole my car"

    Apologies to OMC for use of their lyrics. (Aren't you glad I didn't sing it)

    Now, the market here is fairly well stocked with Prado VX but hardly any Safari.
    Hence the question... How do they compare? Are there any years I should avoid if I go that way?

    Thanks for your forgiveness for my waywardness.
    Dave

    Oh Dear!.. Sorry for your loss mate. I thought you were asking about a GQ v 80 Series. GQ v Prado and its a No Brainer. find another Safari if you can mate. especially against an early Prado.
    Its a Nissan! =====> Its a Keeper!! ....... Got a TD42 in it BONUS!! ....... I'm a lucky bugger! I've got 2 of em!

    The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

    Sorry to hear the scumbags swiped your wheels but the only advantage the Prado would have is no-one would want to pinch it...
    Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.
