Re-made the second alternator bracket so I could get better belt tension - works a treat now. Mounted the primary fuel strainer with heater under the truck. Removed the original second belt driven hydraulic pump for the front winch, free'd up some room for either the relocated ARB compressor or the endless air compressor - still dreaming up how this can work.
Where's the pics peebee ?
OK, shamed into action!!! Couldn't get under the truck to show the actual strainer mount - too bloody late and truck is tucked up in bed in the garage.

Very noice , why twin alternators they make some pretty good upgraded units nowadays.
I run a hyd winch on the front and a warn 15000lb on the rear via a big 200a/h battery, so the second unit is set up to pump the juice into the winch, plus my coffee machine! I run the driving light circuit off it as well as the LED bars run at 30V. The alternator supplied as standard with the Chev conversion is rated at 100a, and it struggles with voltage supply also - constant winge to brunswick diesels hasn't fixed the issue, so i went the second unit as it means I don't need to upgrade wiring for the existing circuits as well.
There is a 170a unit avail, @MB has one fitted and it works well, but still requires some mods to fit. Lastly it also gives me some redundancy if one alternator fails - and yes it has happened to me on a trip, middle of winter, back of Omeo and miles from nowhere, very uncomfortable feeling, especially when some of the drive home would be in the dark.

Removed the plastic bumper cover and filled the dents. Sanded and primed it. Got up this morning and put 3 coats of base colour on, then buggered up the fourth and had to wait for it to dry, then sand and base coat again. Waited till it was dry this time then put on the gloss coat. Waited to dry then started to put it back on the car and scratched it. Took it off again, sanded, base coated and gloss coated. left it for tomorrow. Sitting down with Jim and ice now.
