He will be doing a full teardown, cleanout, new seals, repack / replace bearings and re-build ... it isn't a small job, and possibly best to be done by someone you trust.
I wouldn't do this on my own without some mechanical knowledge. You need quite a few tools, a bit of time and muscle and all the seals, grease, oils, and bits and pieces, so the prices add up quickly.
It is not a job I would do for $100 ... best just get it done in my opinion
