Hey everyone just thought I'd get a few opinions and start a bit of a discussion as to what your dream engine set up is for your patrol. Or if you already have your dream set up let me know what it is would be interesting to know.
I was thinking about maybe doing either of the following.
LS Swap
4.2TD swap
Turbo Barra swap
Cummins swap
Duramax swap
Just opinions and see what people think cheers guys

Currently own a ZD30 2000 GU patrol with a dead injector pumpabout to start a build on a TD42 motor to go in the car and basically rebuild the whole car into a machine of a rig
My TD42 GQ is currently my dream set up and performs very well!
A few people here running the TD42 with large air intake to a Borgwarner 6758 and 12mm pump with amazing results.
I'm running a large front mount WRX intercooler using 3" piping and 3" straight through exhaust and its an amazing torque monster!
Sounds mint AB wish I could afford a 4.2.
Any idea where I could get one to build up?

Hunt around on Face book mate. Theres always one going on one of those pages. Like AB my dream was the TD42. But a fully sick V8 diesel would be better. I just love the sound of a v8.
4.2Tdi V8 VW/Audi engine with the 8sp auto fitted into a patrol. 250kw and 850nm.
I'd love to go with the 5.0 litre Cummins V8 Diesel as fitted to the Nissan Titan XD in the states along with the Aisin 6 speed auto. I think its only a matter of time before someone does the conversion here. Wishful thinking maybe.
