I dropped something into the demister vent

    Hi Guys,

I dropped the small lid in the picture into the demister vent.

I'm wondering if there's a way to fish it out?
I can't feel it from the fingers so it looks like it's inside the vent too deep.

    Any tips would be great.

    Thanx

I ended up using a vacuum hose with a small diameter hose attached to feed into the vents to try and grab a ring that rolled down the vent. It was partially successful but I missed hooking the ring and it fell further in. I bought a cheap camera from SC and used it to locate the ring. The camera had a hook attachment, a magnet and a mirror to see around corners.

    Thanx mate.
I'll try running the blower fan & using the vacuum both at the same time.
Magnets won't work 'cos the piece is plastic. I reckon I can also try one of those flexible catching hook thingy they sell at automotive shops.(but might be too thick to squeeze that into the vent though).
    I'll see how it goes.
    Thanx

Blutag attached to flex wire piece might be a good idea.
