How do you get the charcoal 'started'? Are heat bead lighter blocks sufficient? Who sell Charcoal as opposed to heat beads - can't say I have seen it domestically?

I can get charcoal from local chicken place @ $30 a bag.
A mob in Richmond sells it buy the bag, I use it to blacksmith stuff
