Any one used a good one?
Sometimes a cuppa on the road is required before you reach the destination, where of course beer does the job.
Waiting 25 mins for a cup of tea seems extreme.

I use a Jetboil system, packs away easily and boils the water in a couple of minutes. You'll be waiting a long while for any of the 12volt kettles.

Mmmm can't imagine a jet boil is easy to use while driving...
I had a 12v kettle I got off ebay. Was just a cheap one but done the job. Only issue is it had no temp cut off so if you forgot about it you would smell burning playing after about an hour as the element melts it's easy through the side of the cup..... Haha

Somtimes the trusty old thermos is hard to beat.

Had one, took forever to get the water past warm. Not worth the effort. Thermos is what I use.

Mine took about 20 or so mins to boil. But if you plan it I didn't have an issue. Not ideal if your sitting waiting bit I used mine at work. I work out of my car a lot in remote sites so was easy to just turn it on 20mins before smoko and was done when I was ready

I also have a jet boil. Beast of a thing. Compact. Super fast. I rate it over everything else I have. It's the only thing I have that will boil water in the snow or at altitude.
Stop revive survive. If you need a coffee then the 5 minute stop to make one will do you the World of good. Jetboil for the win

I’ve got a 12v, Waeco, cigarette lighter job. Happy with it. I haven’t secured the base yet, so I pull up before I ‘put the kettle on’. It’s another job on the ‘To do’ list. Lol.
I don’t fill the kettle up all the way for one cup, but use the minimum amount of water possible. That way, the water boils quicker.
My water either was very, very hot, or boiled.

Yeah I agree, boil the water in the morning before leaving camp and you have hot water all day.

12v kettles are not the most efficient things at the best of times.
I pulled the guts out of one and fitted in to a pot, made it water tight
with a tight fitting lid. Filled with water and a few hot dogs it took
20 mins to cook but like others they were put on prior to say a
morning tea stop on the tracks.
As for hot water I have a few Stainless steel thermos flasks for that.
