Unhappy 1998 front wheel bearing adjustment.

I've tried to follow the Haynes manual on this before I start. They show a useless drawing of a " design for fabricating a bearing nut adaptor ". Does anyone have details of this ? Is there a simpler way to adjust the front wheel bearings? Not as easy as a "normal" car.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
