I drowned my 97 patrol in 98 and the insurance paid out on the repairs. The nissan cost on the factory unit was something like $1200 at the time, so the insurance company sent me down to a car hi fi specialist and I could pick and choose up to that value. I ended up with a far superior system to what was installed - you might want to go this route as i am sure these units are going to be difficult to find, done a 'lot of miles' and will be PIN locked as well.
