I've tried & tested only a few Middies mate :-) The grand search for a brew that'll perform as needed in varying circumstances is a hard choice, so far I rate:
1&2) XXXX Goldies & new GNB Middies
    3) Carlton Mid
Did see a new Cooper's orange box of Mids in the local fridge today, might have to try them out next weekend;-)

Tis not that bad is it?
I seem to remember hydrating myself frequently on that good stuff on & off across 95-97. Took a good week to get used to it but only because us Mexicans wouldn't know a bitter from our own wiffe's :-) !

put it this way, now I realize I was fresh off the plane back in 2003 and being used to only drinking European beer, I wasn't prepared to pay $80 for a carton of Stella. Not knowing Aussie beers I took a punt at Emu Export for $27 for a slab of 30 cans. Now I thought that was a more realistic price to pay for beer, considering I was used to paying around $25 for 24 500ml cans of Stella.

I had 3 cans of Export and said eff this shite, and went and bought a carton of Grolsh instead.......... it took me 3 months to get through that carton of Export and vowed to never drink it again......... it WAS that BAD
