A street down from ours, some one has a cockatoo as a pet. At certain times of the year, it makes a noise similar to what a horse makes when it neighs. Some times it sounds like a bunch of cicadas going off too.

The Lyre bird we stopped to listen too today whilst walking back from Ada tree made every sound from every other bird in the forrest but no clicking sounds.
Was awesome to listen to. This bird had us standing and listening for a good 10 minutes before he spotted me trying get a closer look at him and he went all quiet.

The Rosella was just on the grass at Short Point surf beach and the little laughing fella was at Wonboyn lake.

Here's a pic of Ada Tree near Warburton. Pics just do do it justice. This tree is estimated at 300 years old and is absolutely huge. Beautiful bush walk to get to the tree. The sounds of the Lyer birds was simply astounding. I reckon we heard three or four before we stopped to listen as this one was really close by.

At Cordabla NP / State Forest mountain bike park and came across this tree with saw dust at the base of it. A wood borer of some sort and didn`t know that I took a photo of a fly as well, until I resized the photo. I`ll have to learn how to focus fore ground / back ground together of photos. Have been told it can be done and if it can, maybe one day I`ll do it.

Not wrong there Plasnart. There were two trees that I saw like that, that day.
