    Have you checked if your brake fluid is low?. You could also try disconnecting the low brake fluid sensor and see if the light turns off.

    Where did you mount the scan unit? What scan unit is it?. Where is the turbo timer unit mounted?. Did you remove the centre console?

    It's possible you may have drilled or screwed in the harness for the handbrake warning light and this is what is causing the light to stay on. The switch for the handbrake light is at the base of the handbrake lever. If the console was removed you may have caught the wire when refitting the console. Check the harness running from the switch for damage.

    It appears that your shutdown timer is also connected to the handbrake circuit. So it's possible you may have drilled or screwed into this harness. Double check where you have been working.

    Plugging the scan tool into the computer shouldn't bring the handbrake light on. I think it's something you have done with the wiring or low brake fluid.
