A couple of issues after the Cobaw trip.

    1. Front passenger window wouldn't go up. Put James switch (driver side one) and up she went and stayed up.

Easy fix, just need to find one.

    2. While on one of the tracks James noticed that I had only one rear tyre spinning at times. I have noticed over the last month or so that I've lost all the rear diff shutter when turning. It was mentioned about the engine flush in the diff to clean it all out then drop and refill with new LSD oil. Has anyone here done this and how did it go?

    3. A couple of times I had to give it a good old kick in the guts to keep momentum. During this time I noticed my coolant temp raise to 96 degrees and my oil pressure drop to around 6 psi on idle (normally around 18-22).
Engine temps came down to normal so all good there, but oil pressure is still around 15 psi lower than it was before the trip.

First will be oil and filter change.
I think that the oil has lost some of its viscosity during the high temp and a bit of high revving.
    Does this make sense??

How old was the oil?? I find it hard to believe the oil had gone "off" so to speak.
it would take more than a trip bush to abuse the the oil.
If you're worried about oil pressure fit a smaller filter if ones available, lol

    1. I can fix you up with this....
    2. and
    3. I'd change the oils first and see.

Do you have extended breathers for the diffs. You may have water in there?

    1. How much for the switch?

    2. I would like to have the LSD working when in those situations. No diff breathers.

    3. Will do probably do on Thursday.
Have been using shell 20-50 for a little while now.

On the last outing with sooty I had some trouble with my winch, it was decided that I'm probably due for a new solenoid.
Have been doing some researching and it looks like you can't go pass an Albright. Question is before I go and buy one online, where can I go to buy it in store?
Just about every listing says will fit most 12v winches. I want to make sure that it's going to fit in the box, speaking of which the box is broken on the bottom will I need to change that too, the Albright say that it's waterproof/resistance, so do I change the box or not?
The winch itself is still good.
    Last one for now.
Is it just a straight swap?

    Thanks in advance...

The albright doesn't need to go in the standard solenoid box, and most likely won't fit without modification. You can simply rerun new cable and wires to put it where ever you want or use the current cabling and put it where it fits reaches. Most folks rerun it and put it up in engine bay out of the mud.

I used existing cabling and mounted it behind bullbar near original solenoid box. Refitted the warn solenoid box in bullbar otherwise I'd have a hole in top of my bar. I may rewire it all and put it up higher in engine bay one day when i find motivation.

I haven't seen an albright which wouldn't work on any of the 4x4 12v winches I've seen so yours will be no different. This is what a genuine albright looks like and will work with your winch. .

They are usually around $170 on ebay. Then there are albright 'style' which are copies and would most likely also work, just cheaper.

As to where can you get one in store. When I was looking I rang 4x4 stores and asked (incl ARB) most said they could and gave me varying prices. Most didn't stock them however and would order in for me.
