    I start mine with 2 year old fuel in it still fires up straight away though, shame the battery is cactus otherwise I would start it more and maybe put fresher fuel in it

    Congratulations, Lucas, you have found a "circuit breaker for the unlikely event of a bird strike or some vandal blocking the snorkel. What wall thickness was the pipe?

    I wonder what would have happened if you had a cheap knock off snorkel and a stronger pipe?

    I guess it'll always find the weakest link or if not it just wouldn't fire.
    Here's the pipe. Just crappy plastic. I've squeezed it back a fair bit but note the wire sticking out..
