It can and will with the right tuner doing it. EGR can also be deleted.

To be honest. I think your pissing against the wind mate. Get rid of the Ecu boost control and enjoy the fun times with controlled boost.

I'm not eliminating the option. Just prefer not to do it if needed..

Probably the best thing I've ever done to my 3L. Getting rid of the stupid ECU yoyo boost and making it all nice and linear with the needle and dawes (and eventually) a wastegate setup, made the best difference to the cars drive-ability among all the other mods.
When I done the needle/dawes, I was kicking my self for not doing it earlier.

Just changed oil and filters. I was about 2500km over, but all is good now. Had a bit of a hassle with right size sump washer (again), but got int in the end.
