Its only a motor. No need to get all extreme and leave. Staying here will be better than leaving. Plenty of knowledge and support. Remember its the people that make this place.

I just look at TPC posts about his son, roofys motor and even BAs issues just over a year ago and think it's only a bloody motor. We will fix it or something. plenty of help for everything that ails you here mate.

Get a compression test done first John. Then reassess...

John get the thermostat checked might be sticky or slow
if your not burning a bushfire behind you could be just the top end
You know a lot of ppl in the business? surely one of them will have a look
for you for free

Its got me beat it goes like the powers, weather willing tomorrow Ill try and remove the radiator
and clean and back flush it and remove the thermostat, I put some Rislone head gasket fix in it and think
its blocked the system. .Will know in a few days, Ive already rang my mate about replacing the head gasket
and he says there is way too much labour involved to do that, There is nothing wrong with compression IMO
it goes too well

You've got it right there I recon. IMHO all additives are a temporary fix.
