Got a text from the engine builder, everything seems to be on track and should be ready to be picked up Monday provided the injectors come in. blown Said cracked head and piston was the cause of is troubles, sent through a couple of pictures but kind of hard to see.

as there wasn't any water in the oil

Yeah be interesting having a closer look at it. The poor old thing certainly smelt like burnt oil. Sure Omar will have his theory, certainly seems to know his s#!t ☺

Possible faulty injector. Not atomising correctly meaning one cylinder running richer so hotter. No effects on engine temp as its only 1 cylinder. Extra heat from the faulty injector can cause the cracking and melting.

Only my theory though.

It was burnt beyond belief mate any hotter it would have burst into flames if it had
clean air

Hindsight now but did you ever run any kind of injector cleaner
