Little while ago (few years ago infact), there were talks of a promo at work including a car. As of late, that is heading in a very positive direction.
If indeed this eventuates, see ya 4.2 . Happy and sad at same time, but we'll see what happens.

Why would you get rid of the Patrol? Get the misses to drive it, I have a company car and my misses uses my patrol.

Yeah why would you get rid of it. Build it into an animal. Twin lockers, big pump, cooler and turbo, awesome suspension. Your crazy selling it!

kinda blowing my own trumpet here but i pulled over and helped a bloke change his spare tyre after it had blown up on him and he couldnt work out how to use the jack. i mean it was pretty funny to find out he was trying to jack the car up from the chassis(a mitsubishi triton) admittedly a safe jack point on the arm was too low to get the jack under it but with the help of a big rock we got the jack to a safe spot and him back on the road.

what amazes me these days tho is we were on a main highway, between sydney and wollongong. the spot he broke down on, the break down lane was EXTREMELY narrow and yet people werent even moving a little more away from us, so farken dangerous.
I got red dust in my veins.

    Why sell it ?
Well few reasons. We don't have provisions for 3 cars at our house. She doesn't want a big car, especially manual. Which are no biggies, we can overcome those....
But then..... Jonathans recent thread "The short trip blues........" sums up very nicely why it would definitely not be suitable for my wife. The short stop and go trips she would do, would do not much good to the car, I mean lets face it this thing is practically a truck.
So the overall big picture makes it not feasible to keep her sitting here...
But on the other hand yeah this is kind of like my dream 4x4, that I may not be able to find again in the future so, a lot of thoughtfull decisions to be made ahead.

However, the job position is still a ? right now, and if I'd get rid of it, even IF i got the position, is still a small ? . It's just something thats just surfaced up again after a meeting at work earlier. Brain hurts. Need more beer right now.

yeah mate that would have helped but even with me parking my car further out there was fuck all room for old mate to safely remove his wheel.

Ask them if they would give you a car allowance instead so they pay to run the patrol.

My misses does lots of short trips with ours and it is a manual, I tried to convince her we should buy a little car for her to drive but she loves driving the Patrol. (Just a pity she is so hard on the clutch)
