I was nervous that was going to happen to me as it took a lot of force to undo but I was lucky.
When it came to changing the exhaust I decided not to push my luck and took it to the experts.

If you remove it for easier access you could muffler wrap it to keep the heat in the pipe
and not radiating into the engine bay/firewall
