Well heres the update from my last visit to hospital, The nerve block was successful
and lasted only 3 days I was of the opinion it wouldve lasted longer.
I saw the surgeon again yesterday and the plan is to knock me out
insert a needle up the spinal coloum to where the pain starts, then wake me up
to confirm it, knock me out again then insert an electrode up the centre of the needle
and leave at the right level.
Not many surgeons are confident of doing this Op my surgeon [Prof Peter Teddy] is one.
this electrode will be excited by a battery generator in my buttock, I have one in my butt
now but thats old technology so they tell me, This new one is state of the art.
We are all confident it will bring good relief at last. I finally have it documented that all this
is because the first Op failed, I will be seeking legal advice about this matter.
The Op itself is about $75K so Im glad Im not picking up the tab LOL, hospital room alone is $1280
a night an the food is rubbish for a private hospital, AH the days in Epworth with crayfish and beer on the menu.
Sadly no more.
Now we'll see how the system works I think the OK will come about June, but as Im in dispute with them over
a suspension seat for my car and a new mattress it may be shorter.
