How to fit Recovery Point

I bought a front recovery bracket from Air On Board:

How do I fit the captive nuts? They need to go inside the chassis but even after I removed the bull bar I can't find a hole large enough to pass the captive nuts through. Has anyone fitted these before, if so, any tips?
