We're about to find out where we stand at my work this month. We're owned by China, as is most of power grids in Australia right now, and they are pointing the finger to the same bucket of shit... Outsourcing! So I guess soon I'll find out whether I stay and dance or get shown the door...
It isn't looking promising so, It might be a Merry Xmas and don't come monday.

25 yrs in the same job is becoming a rarity these days, I get amazed by how many people change jobs every few years.

Happened to me twenty odd years ago after 24 years in the same job. I started my own business and never looked back. Mate just look at your own talents, which may even be not what you are doing now, and plan your future. Just look at it as you can do what you want now that they are not holding you back. Good luck.
