Took a day off, plumber and roller shutter bloke booked in... Both a no show . Wasted farkin' day.
Just got notice today that I'm being made redundant. 24 years & 11 months in the same job. Finishing up in a month. Leaving or retiring in my on time & terms would have been more satisfying. Not happy. Apparently they can get someone who can do my job better & cheaper if they out-source. Good luck with that, it never works.
Oh well ... I might retire, more time to go "Patroling".
