    Not sure it's legal

I've seen plenty of Boxes or dog crates over the
years fitted via the class 2 receiver hitch [towbar]
This may well take the cake.

Certainly does! Regardless of whether it’s legal or not the dynamics of carrying weight that far behind the rear axle & only supported on it’s centre axis which is what - just say 70mm square? is just asking for problems. It’s a product which appeals to folk who let their wishful thinking override their common sense. The thought process is “If they make & sell something like that it must be ok” ....Wrong!

Hitchhauler are an American company I believe, & they also do very similar setups to carry motorcycles. I seriously considered one for our bus for about two minutes. We ended up towing an enclosed bike trailer.

Whether illegal or not would depend upon what vehicle it was attached to. I can’t think of any where it would be legal, but maybe they exist?
The law says that the length of the vehicle’s overhang (i.e. from the centre of the rear axle to the rearmost part of the vehicle - including any attachments like tow balls etc) must not exceed 3.7m or 60% of the vehicle’s wheelbase (mid axle to mid axle).

@ Cuppa its 50v50 rhs next you'll have ppl carring fuel in them, not good in a rear ender .
Im with Cuppa its all wrong and they say max is 230kg or your max towball weight.

Its alot different to a bike carrier

When I first started business and asked heaps of questions from different
departments I found there is no law toe towing, you can use coat hanger
wire to tow a 44 on pram wheels ,
Surely it sticks out far doesnt do yor departure angle any favours either LOL

Rats... the Auction has been taken down.

Apparently 'there was an error in the listing'

Just as I was about to get a couple of them too...
