New auto service center next door so I though I would give them a go. General oil and grease up and check over and fit the catch can i have not fitted for nearly 12 months. Sooo I just spent 2 hours removing the catch can and putting it on again with decent hose. the D$%^*s used food grade plastic hose so you could see how much oil was passing through. By the time I got it home last night and came in this morning, half the hoses had melted and the other hose had colapsed on the bends. How do they train these guys these days. Its not difficult. Anyway nuff said or I will have to start my own rant post.

Yea mate, couldn't be bothered - not paying though. I wouldn't be happy even if they did it again. Can't believe they thought food hose would do the job so I wanted to check each nut and bolt. Found a loose clamp and loose mounting bolt as well. back to doing my own servicing and repairs.

Yeah bummer mate, at least go back and tell them of the dodgy work and that you've had to redo it all.

Yeah I'd be going back in and telling them the issues.

Let them know their
stuff up before
they cause a fire
if they do it again!!
My advice is: not to follow my advice.

Agree with all the above

x2. Friend had an experience with getting his 4wd serviced by a well known gearbox specialist. Ever since the service, he had nothing but troubles; bolts rattling loose, boot covers not installed properly etc
Turns out the guy that worked solely on the car was new, had lied about his experience and wasn't supervised by the head mechanic - the new guy ended up getting fired (this wasn't his only stuff up it turned out) and head mechanic got a rocket up him!
